SANT BABA NIKKA SINGH 'VIRAKAT'JI MAHARAJ (1894-1983

With the blessings of Pujya Gurudev Sant Baba Nikka Singh ‘Virakat’ Ji Maharaj, in pursuance of his aim to establish an Old Age Home for the abandoned and the deprived elderly, Sant Amrik Dev ji, a compassionate soul, got a secular, social service oriented Bhagat Labha Mal Kartar Kaur Charitable Trust registered after the name of his parents in 1997.

Soon afterwards, to realize his dream of establishing a school for those poor and needy children whose parents could not afford to send them to well established schools due to paucity of means, Sant Amrik Dev ji also set up a philanthropic Sant Nikka Singh Public School Trust Society in the pious memory of his Pujya Gurudev  Sant Baba Nikka Singh ‘Virakat’ Ji Maharaj on December 10, 1999. The generosity of both these Trusts, the sole mission of which is ‘Love All, Help All, Serve All’, led to the establishment of various humanitarian projects in social, educational and vocational areas.

As a person, Sant Amrik Dev ji led the life of a true saint. ‘Sewa’ and ‘Simran’ were the pillars of his strength. As God is all and in all, Sant Ji showered his love and affection upon all.

Since life in this mundane world is uncertain and transient, with the passage of time, keeping in view his old age and detachment from  the worldly bonds, Sant Amrik Dev ji, a great visionary, dedicated all of his benevolent centres/institutions to the lotus feet of His Holiness Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj on July 18, 2008. But, as per his Maharaj’s divine decree and the unique directions of Sant Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj, he continued rendering his selfless services to the abandoned and the deprived elderly, parentless or quite hapless girls, widows, extremely poor persons, and needy children belonging to economically weaker sections of society till he left for his heavenly abode on April 21,2016.

To such a great soul, i.e. Sant Amrik Dev ji, who spread the fragrance of his good deeds all around throughout his life, to such a lofty soul, whose strong faith in his Pujya Gurudev was exemplary, and whose philanthropy will serve as a beacon light for the upcoming generations, we pay our homage in a spirit of gratitude, indebtedness and humility.

At present, all the humanitarian centres/institutions of Nirmal Dham, Karnal are being run efficiently under the patronage of His Holiness Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj and the dynamic directions of Sant Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj.
